An Australian Alphabet themed baby play mat with a reverse blue diamond pattern.

This Australian themed alphabet baby play mat is designed in Australia to provide a safe and educational play space for your baby. This baby play mat features common animals including the Koala, Magpie, Ibis and Kangaroo. Furthermore, it also has lesser known Aussie animals such as the Numbat, Yabby, Quoll and the Leafy Sea Dragon. Another feature of our Freddy & Co baby play mat is that they are made from non-toxic PU material. This is easy to clean and soft cushioned surface. Suitable to use on all indoor floor types.

The sky blue geometric reverse pattern is designed to complement your home’s interior décor. Because of this the Australian Alphabet play mat also comes in Grey Geometric and Coloured Geometric designs. This ensures you find the perfect alternate design to compliment your taste. Play mats can be easily reversed due to their light weight nature.

Our baby play mats have a cushioned textured surface. This creates a soft and safe environment for your baby to explore the world. Please note: Our playmat design is a seamless print and therefore will be cut at random. No two playmats have the exact same starting point. Also due to the non-toxic nature of our playmats some colour change will occur over time.

Features

Our mats are lightweight and easy to reverse so that you can make the most of our designs. Freddy & Co playmats are also 100% waterproof which makes them easy to clean by wiping them down with a damp cloth (see our care instructions for further information).

Safety

Freddy and Co playmats are made from a non-toxic PU (Polyurethane) material. This makes the mat soft and easy to clean. PU is light weight, flexible material which is extremely durable and our mats have passed international (there are no standards in a Australia) testing and are free from heavy metals, phthalates and formaldehyde.

Cleaning

As our mats are 100% water proof they can easily be cleaned using a soft damp cloth. For harder to clean messes such as those caused by food a mild detergent can also be used. Please do not use any abrasive chemicals or scrubbing utensils on your mat as these may cause damage.

Storage

Due to their soft and flexible nature, Freddy and Co mats can be folded for short periods of time if required (E.g. to fit in your car for travel). However, if left folded for extended periods of time your mat may form creases which will take days to months to come out, we do not recommend storing for periods of longer than 3 days folded. For longer periods of storage time, your mat should be stored rolled, the cartoon provided is the best place for this.

Caring for your playmat

The properties of PU playmats which make them soft and supportive to babies and young children make them susceptible to damage from sharp objects. Sharp items such as pet claws, tools, metal toys with sharp edges, stiletto heels etc. should not be used on the mat as they risk damage. Furthermore, some fading may occur over time if your mat is in direct sunlight. Due to the soft flexible nature of your mat, sitting heavy furniture on it will cause dints in the material which may be permanent if the internal structures are damaged. We do not recommend that you place any heavy objects on your mat.
